Stress responses

Stress is actually a tool, if we can learn to understand it, the problem is the world is on tenterhooks almost 24/7. As technology has risen so has its ability to interfere with the natural responses we as mere mortals have. We unfortunately cannot compete with something that does not need to sleep. It is why we have such huge issues with all kinds of things that may seem irrelevant but are not and that is the mental health of humanity. Mental health - yet again a term deemed negative to some people, or it is an indication as to where we are in life?

Our time is precious, and having children also creates a huge awareness of this, they change and form into small people so quickly which can be missed in the blink of an eye but what is the key then? It is trying to get your body into a present state in the environment it is in and let it respond how it needs to in that space. Reconnectin to our senses is imperative - It is imperative for a longer, more relaxed and well balanced life. If true happiness could be sold in a bottle, perhaps this would be in.

We are all seeking the same things deep down and that is to ENJOY life, it is to take in it’s riches and things it has to offer but we are also building another world, one we are still acquiring, all systems have been shut down and re-starrted for us, how we manage this is going to be the bigger test on ourselves.

After that little pre-word, I wanted to invite you into why we do what we do!

I believe this is a greater question than anything, doing something we love and believe in and strive for daily is better than not at all, the mark on success seems to be on money but money wins back time and time is the true commodity that we would like, time to RELAX we are been taken into our sympathetic systems with bleeds, and demands, noise and all other manners of interferences into our personal space, that sometimes doesn't need to be with anything other than itself. This is why we train, it’s why we constantly observe the ever changing world to see what training adaptation sand MINDSETS we need to work with in order to help us get to where we want to go. HOWEVER - there is always something out to distract us and maintaining this approach and keeping focus can be challenged, as I said we are humans, our phones bleed the same bleed and we respond - this is powerful cause for reaction when useful but overloading our bodies because we HAVE to is also becoming increasingly difficult.

Training sets that part of us free, movement in our bodies sets us free, it helps us to return with a more pro-active attitude to our work , when we take pleasure in what seems to some mundane tasks, slow tasks, tasks that go against the million miles your brain maybe able to wok at, to help you organise your own thoughts. Cycling has seen such a huge increase in the past 3.5 years and due it’s rights, escaping on a bike for hours, connection to your body, your personal abilities and chikmbing to the top of mountain for panoramic views, opening the senses, I mean of course that is euphoric. Doing the work and getting there and having the accomplishment - we get it it’s why we host this.

But our reasons and why we do what we do? simply without it we are not the best versions of ourselves. No one is. If we are then we do not have time for anything in between, the get on with it attitude then relax and and enjoy life is becoming somewhat of a mere past memory at least for myself. I cannot speak for everyone.

Training though, truly is your golden ticket and you need what for that? TIME and performance training needs this, or does it?

That's out hunt, we hack to life out of training more reasons than anything are we HAVE to, no choice and without training life just isn’t as fun for us. We thrive off of the bubbly fun hyper active feels that training can bring, which however leads me into my now different lifestyle days as a parent! You lose that time but require that energy so much, Dad’s need their times and mums needs theirs, doing it through wellness is far more rewarding than other ways but it can be hard to acquire.

We need sun

We need beauty

We need tranquility

We need Self care

We need space

We need rest

We need external care and support

We need moments to be in our bodies and be present within them

That is why Mallorca offers so much, it offers you the chance to be in awe the entire time you are here, it has so much to offer in beauty, in peace (in places at certain times).
